Choose by the job
| Type | What it means | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Residential | Traffic exits through IPs associated with residential internet connections. A pool may offer rotation or a sticky session. | Available countries, rotation rules, session limits and traffic allowance. |
| ISP | IPs registered with an internet service provider, commonly offered as longer-lived addresses. | Dedicated or shared allocation, assignment duration and supported protocols. |
| Datacenter | IPs associated with hosting or datacenter infrastructure. They are often used for controlled, high-volume workloads. | Target compatibility, concurrency, locations and bandwidth limits. |
Options in the Crawlhub dashboard
Residential drafts offer Rotating or Sticky sessions. ISP and Datacenter drafts currently offer Static. All three let you save a preferred country and HTTP(S) or SOCKS5.
These are setup preferences. They do not confirm inventory, a fixed IP allocation or a supported session duration. Product access is still pending.
Proxy or scraping API?
A proxy changes the network path used by your HTTP client or browser. Your application still handles pages, parsing, cookies and retries. A scraping API has its own request and response contract and may perform some of that work for you.
Proxy credentials and API keys are separate concepts. Do not put a dashboard login password into either connection type. See API request drafts for the settings you can prepare today.
Test one request first
Start with one request and confirm the exit IP before adding concurrency. A working connection does not guarantee that every destination accepts that IP or returns the content you want. Use the checker guide to interpret results.
